El Portugal 2027 begins in Valladolid, Spain, just moments from the Portuguese border, before crossing into Portugal and continuing towards the magnificent Douro Valley. Program
Day 1
Sunday 12th of September: Valladolid, Spain 🇪🇸
The rally will kick off with a warm welcome at our five-star hotel in Valladolid, Spain. After checking in, you can take advantage of the luxurious 5-star amenities, including the spa and pool area, before we officially greet you with a welcome drink at 19:30h.
Starting at 20:00h, you’re invited to a special historic venue within the hotel for our welcome dinner. This is the perfect opportunity to get to know each other and launch into an unforgettable weekend of driving!
Day 2
Monday 13th of September: Arouca, Portugal 🇵🇹
On the first day, we'll kick off our journey at 08:30h from Valladolid, Spain. The route begins with fast-flowing roads through the beautiful Spanish countryside, offering the perfect opportunity to settle into the drive and enjoy the scenery. To keep the overall driving time comfortable at around five hours, we've included a short motorway section on the way to Portugal.
Once in Portugal, the real adventure begins. The roads become increasingly spectacular as we wind our way through rolling hills, charming villages, and the breathtaking landscapes that make northern Portugal one of Europe's hidden driving gems. Expect smooth, flowing roads, sweeping corners, and stunning viewpoints along the way before arriving at our luxurious hotel in Arouca.
Today's route covers approximately 5 hours, allowing us to have lunch at a relaxed pace and arrive at the hotel around 15:30h. Take the afternoon to unwind with a swim, relax in the spa, or simply enjoy a glass of wine while overlooking the peaceful Portuguese countryside.
Evening
In the evening, we'll gather for a memorable dinner, where you'll experience refined Portuguese cuisine accompanied by carefully selected regional wines. The perfect dinner to an unforgettable journey through Portugal.
Day 3
Tuesday 14th of September: Arouca - Amarante 🇵🇹
On the third day, we'll depart from our beautiful hotel in Arouca after breakfast and set off at 09:00h towards our next destination in Amarante. Today is all about experiencing the very heart of Portugal's finest driving roads. Expect perfectly flowing mountain routes, endless sweeping corners, and technical sections that make this one of the most rewarding driving days of the entire tour.
As we make our way deeper into the spectacular Douro Valley, the scenery becomes even more breathtaking. Terraced vineyards, dramatic valleys, picturesque villages, and panoramic viewpoints create the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable day behind the wheel.
Today's route covers approximately 250 km, with an arrival at our luxurious 5-star hotel around 15:30h. After checking in, take time to relax by the pool, unwind in the spa, or simply enjoy a glass of local wine while overlooking the magnificent Douro Valley.
Evening
The evening is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Discover one of the valley's charming local restaurants, indulge in authentic Portuguese cuisine, and experience the warm hospitality that makes this region so special. It's the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the local atmosphere before another unforgettable driving day awaits.
Day 4
Wednesday 15th of September: Amarante - Vacalar 🇵🇹
Are you ready for the ultimate driving day?
At 09:00h, we'll set off from Amarante for what is undoubtedly the highlight of the tour. Today's route takes you deep into the heart of the Douro Valley, where you'll experience some of the most spectacular driving roads Portugal has to offer. Expect endless sweeping curves, perfectly surfaced mountain roads, technical sections, and breathtaking scenery around every corner.
Throughout the day, you'll drive past world-famous vineyards, centuries-old olive groves, charming wine estates, and dramatic viewpoints overlooking the winding Douro River. This is the kind of route that reminds you why you love driving: every kilometer offers a new panorama and another unforgettable sequence of corners.
Afternoon
Today's drive covers approximately 230 km, leaving plenty of time to enjoy a relaxing local lunch while taking in the beauty of the valley. In the afternoon, we'll arrive at our luxurious hotel in Vacalar, where you can spend the remainder of the day unwinding by the pool, enjoying the spa facilities, or simply soaking up the peaceful atmosphere with a glass of exceptional Douro wine.
Evening
In the evening, we invite you to join us for a final gourmet dinner with panoramic view over the Douro Valley and river. Perfectly paired with outstanding regional wines, as we celebrate an unforgettable journey through one of Europe's most beautiful driving destinations.
Day 5
Thursday 16th of September: Time to go home

After enjoying our final breakfast at the beautiful hotel, our adventure Portugal comes to a close. It's time for everyone to pack their bags and check out before heading home. For those who prefer to travel in a group, you are welcome to join us in the morning as we depart for Maastricht, where we will separate according to each person's route.
